  • Shuttles will operate between the designated Partner Hotels and the Summit venue.

Please follow the steps below to ensure a smooth and efficient check-in process:

  • Be prepared to show your Registration Confirmation email at the badge pick-up counter.

  • We will scan the QR code included in your confirmation.

  • You must present a valid government-issued photo ID to collect your badge.

  • Having both your photo ID and registration confirmation ready will help us serve you quickly.

To avoid long lines and delays, we strongly encourage all registered participants to pick up their badges in advance at one of the designated Partner Hotels.

  • Do not attempt to collect your badge at the Summit venue before June 23.

  • Summit venue badge pick-up begins on Monday, June 23.

Q: What are the dates of the U.S.–Africa Business Summit?

A: The 17th U.S.–Africa Business Summit will be held on June 22 - 25, 2025.

Q: Will the Summit Name badge allow access to all Sessions and Official Summit events?

A: Yes, your Summit Name badge allows access to all Summit Plenaries and Sessions as well as Official Summit events such as Welcome Reception.

Q: Where will the Summit sessions be held?

A: All official sessions and networking events will take place on the Luanda waterfront at Luanda Bay, Luanda, Angola. Additional venue specifics (halls, meeting rooms, exhibition spaces) will be posted on the Program page once finalized.

Q: Will the Summit sessions be live streamed?

A: No, the Summit sessions will not be live streamed. However, you can stay updated with live updates through our social media platforms.

Q: Can I register onsite?

A: No. There is no onsite registration. All participants must complete registration online before the 16 June deadline.

Q: Can I pay onsite if I have registered in advance?

A: Onsite payments are accepted only for delegates who completed an online registration but still have an outstanding balance (e.g., selected “pay by wire”). Cash and major credit cards will be accepted at the Registration Help Desk.

Q: Where can I pick up my Summit badge/credential?

A: Badge pick-up locations, hours, and required identification will be announced closer to the event and emailed to all registered delegates. Please bring a government-issued photo ID and your registration confirmation email.

Q: Do I need to display my Summit badge to access all Summit activities?

A: Yes. A visible Summit badge is required to enter all sessions, networking events, exhibition areas, and to use any Summit-provided transport services.

Q: Will meals be provided during the Summit?

A: Yes. Registered delegates will receive continental breakfast, coffee/tea breaks, and lunch on full programme days. Details on any evening functions with meals will be posted in the agenda.

Q: Can I request special accommodations for dietary restrictions or accessibility needs?

A: Yes. Please indicate any requirements during the online registration process or email summit@corporatecouncilonafrica.com so we can assist.

Q: Will transportation be provided during the Summit?

A: Delegates are responsible for their own ground transport in Luanda. Ride-hailing apps, hotel shuttles, taxis and private car hire are widely available. Any Summit-specific shuttles (e.g., to an off-site gala) will be announced in advance.

Q: Is there parking available at the venue?

A: TBC – parking arrangements for private vehicles will be confirmed once the final venue map is published.

Q: What is the weather like in June in Luanda, Angola?

A: June falls in Luanda’s dry “cacimbo” season. Expect warm days around 26-29 °C (79-84 °F), cooler evenings near 20-21 °C (68-70 °F), very low rainfall, and moderate coastal breezes. Light layers and sun protection are recommended.

Q: What is the dress code for the Summit?

A: Business attire is required for all daytime sessions. Evening receptions are business attire or national dress.

Q: What is the address of the Summit venue?

A: Luanda Bay waterfront, Luanda, Angola (full street address and hall designations will be posted once finalised).

Q: How far is Luanda Bay from the airport and what transport options are available?

  • A: Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport (AIA) – approx. 40 km; 45-60 min by taxi or hired car.
  • Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport (LAD) – approx. 5 km; 10-15 min by taxi or hotel shuttle. Detailed transport tips are available on the Travel page. 

Q: Will medical services be available at the Summit?

A: On-call first-aid and emergency medical response will be available onsite during programme hours. Delegates are responsible for any external hospital or ambulance costs and should carry appropriate international health insurance and personal medications.

Q: Who do I call in case of an emergency in Luanda?

A: In an emergency, dial 113 (National Police) or 115 (Fire/EMS) in Angola, and alert Summit staff or venue security immediately.

Q: What is the local currency and what about exchange rates?

A: Angola’s currency is the Kwanza (AOA). Major hotels accept international credit cards. ATMs are available but may have withdrawal limits. Check real-time exchange rates before you travel.

Q: What are typical business hours, shopping options and things to do in Luanda?

A: Offices open roughly 08:00-17:00 (Mon-Fri). Shops typically operate 09:00-20:00 (Mon-Sat) with reduced Sunday hours. Popular activities include strolling the Marginal promenade, visiting the Fortaleza de São Miguel, day-trips to Mussulo Island, and exploring Luanda’s emerging art and culinary scene.
