Dele is the Global Head of Energy and Infrastructure for Standard Bank Group, bringing nearly three decades of leadership experience, industry expertise, and a deep commitment to Africa’s growth story. Dele began a career with the Group’s Nigerian subsidiary, Stanbic IBTC Bank, where Dele served as Country Head for the Oil & Gas, Power, and Infrastructure sectors. In this role, Dele was also responsible for Investment Banking Coverage for more than nine years before being appointed Nigeria Country Head of Client Coverage for Corporate and Investment Banking.

In 2018, Dele moved to the parent company, Standard Bank, and assumed the role of Global Head of Oil & Gas, later expanding responsibilities to become Global Head of Energy and Infrastructure for the South Africa-headquartered organization. Dele is supported by teams across Standard Bank Group’s international and African regions. In this capacity, Dele leads the Group’s efforts to connect capital, expertise, and opportunity across dynamic and transformative growth sectors throughout the continent.

Prior to joining Standard Bank Group, Dele held a range of positions at Standard Chartered Bank within the Wholesale Banking division and at Citibank as a Relationship Manager, building more than 10 years of experience in risk management. Dele is focused on advancing Standard Bank’s mission of delivering world-class financing, trade, and advisory solutions, championing Africa’s potential, and connecting global investors and corporates to the opportunities shaping the continent’s future.
