With over 20 years of experience in the financial sector, Bilal has honed his expertise through a specialised career that began as a Chartered Accountant at Deloitte and Investec, before becoming the CEO of AfrAsia Capital Management. His strategic vision, extensive knowledge and investor performance led him to take the helm of Stewards Investment Capital in 2019. Under his leadership, the firm has achieved instrumental growth, introducing innovative new investment solutions that deliver stellar returns to institutional and high-net-worth investors.

Passionate about niche investments, Bilal distinguishes Stewards by offering bespoke and unique investment solutions, including fixed income, equity and digital asset strategies.

His holistic expertise in these spheres contribute significantly to Stewards Investment Capital’s innovative approach, establishing the firm as an industry leader. Bilal serves as the Founder Chairman of Arrel Technology Ltd, a blockchain fintech business based in Mauritius. His dedication to economic development is further demonstrated through his role as the President of the South African Chamber of Commerce in Mauritius since 2020.

Additionally, Bilal also serves on the Advisory Board of US listed fast growing microfinance firm Favo Capital. He is a Director on the Board of a leading African crypto exchange, VALR and Enhanced Investment Products Limited (EIP), a niche Asian investment manager.

Bilal is a Chartered Accountant accredited by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honors degree, among other financial qualifications.
