Honorable Karabo Socraat Gare was appointed Minister of the newly established Ministry of Entrepreneurship in April 2022. He is also a member of Parliament for Moshupa /Manyana Constituency.

In addition to providing leadership and overall policy direction, strategy standards and business development, Hon Gare has the overall responsibility of guiding the Ministry to ensure creation of conducive environment that enables promotion of investment and development of sustainable industries/ businesses so as to diversify and grow the economy.

Prior to Hon. Gare’s appointment to the Ministry of Entrepreneurship, he served as Minister of Agriculture Development and Food Security as well as Assistant Minister in the then Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry.
An Accountant by profession, Hon Gare has a wide range of experience having worked for various organizations like Local Enterprise Authority (LEA), Botswana Railways as well as the Botswana National Sports Council. He later left formal employment and focused on private consultancy.

Hon. Gare Holds Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualifications from Botswana Accountancy College (BAC).

His package also contains certificate in Small Business Consultancy from University of Northwest. He is also an accredited business management trainer with Botswana Qualifications Authority.
