Basadi Molelekeng ACMA, CGMA is a chartered management accountant having graduated with CIMA, and AAT. She further completed her MSc in Finance and Investment from London School of Business and Finance. Mrs Molelekeng is also a qualified Prince 2 Practitioner and has worked in Project Management, Accounting and Finance.

After a successful run in the corporate world Mrs Basadi Molelekeng shifted her focus to commercial farming with the aim dominating an already male dominated industry as a young Motswana woman in the process gaining repute as a first Motswana woman to farm in the Pandamatenga farming area. She founded Bicolor Holdings in 2015 upon a successful allocation of a 500-hectare commercial land in Pandamatenga and became a producer of field crops to feed the nation. From Sorghum to beans and sunflower for your oil Mrs Molelekeng does it all and she is truly an inspiration. Typically, this is working in an environment fraught with challenges including adverse weather, pests, increase cost of inputs and wild animals.
In recognition of Mrs Molelekeng’s endeavours she has been awarded the 2023 Best Woman in Agriculture. She was awarded the Barclays Farmer of the Year as well as SEEDCO Arable Farmer of the Year at the 2017 Botswana Farming Awards.

A background in Finance and project management have been a perfect ingredient in ensuring a successful 8 year run in a highly challenging yet fulfilling farming industry while being the beacon of women empowerment.

In 2023 Mrs Molelekeng started a new initiative of running Farming Master Classes, whereby she invites small scale and prospective farmers to visit her farm during critical farming activities so they gain the techniques and skills of professional farming as well as learn how to operate farm machinery.
