Akol Ayii is the Founder and Chairman of Trinity Group. The group owns investments in various sectors including Energy, Power, Infrastructure, Mining, Media and Technology. Since 2006, the company has grown to lead five business units with over 2,000 direct and indirect employees. Mr. Akol Ayii is a business leader with verifiable year-after-year success of achieving revenue, profit, and business growth objectives within startup, turnaround, and rapid-change environments. He has extensive experience with highly engineered systems, which require deep understanding of critical business drivers in multiple markets and industries.
Mr. Akol started building businesses from very humble beginnings. With the initial capital from his father and some from family businesses, Akol ventured into hardware & general trading. Then he invested in real estate business in the capital city of Juba. Other notable achievements by Mr. Akol included the founding of the Nile Commercial Bank (NCB) which set the pace for the development of the Banking industry of South Sudan. NCB also played a very important role in the establishment of the Central Bank of South Sudan today known as the Bank of South Sudan. He is also supporting South Sudan to achieve financial inclusion through mobile money transfer services through a premiere mobile money transfer services company M-Gurush. Through M-Gurush nearly 1.2 million South Sudanese can send and receive money from anywhere within the country as well international other countries in the world. This provides the huge South Sudanese diaspora a channel to support their families back home.
His investments in the Energy sector through Trinity Energy Ltd have supported South Sudan and by extension the East African region to achieve fuel stability. Trinity Energy's relationship with global and regional petroleum trading companies has made the retail supply of fuel products in South Sudan stable and predictable. The company now has a growing global footprint to structure bespoke solutions to customers with established offices in South Sudan, Kenya, DRC, Malawi and the United Arab Emirates.

He currently serves on the board of Director of the Corporate Council on Africa.
