Bame Pule is the Founder and CEO of Africa Lighthouse Capital. Founded in 2012, Africa Lighthouse Capital manages a sector-agnostic private equity fund in Botswana whose capital has been raised wholly from local institutional investors. The firm invests in Botswana and throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. Africa Lighthouse Capital is comfortable taking either majority or minority equity stakes, and it invests anywhere from growth capital in growing and profitable companies to buyouts of mature companies to infrastructure investments through PPPs. A key aspect of Africa Lighthouse Capital’s approach is partnership with and incentivization of management. The firm seeks not only to provide capital but also to create significant value for portfolio companies.

Before founding Africa Lighthouse Capital, Bame worked at Actis Capital in Johannesburg, Lagos, and Cairo; ShoreView Capital in the United States; and Goldman Sachs in New York.

Bame has Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Political Science from Pomona College in Claremont, California and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts.
