Kurtis Lockhart is Executive Director at the Charter Cities Institute (CCI), an organization dedicated to empowering new cities with better governance to lift tens of millions of people out of poverty. Prior to becoming Executive Director, Kurtis led CCI’s Research team conducting research that examines how charter cities across the Global South can become the next generation of special economic zones, increasing investment, spurring business formation, creating jobs, and ultimately driving economic prosperity.
